Digital Services in Scotland

Empowering Scottish citizens through enhanced digital solutions

At Atos our purpose is to hep design the future of the digital space – make it safer, more inclusive, secure and sustainable for everyone. As one of Scotland’s key digital partners, we support some of the Nation’s most critical organisations, and have done so for more than 20 years.
We have a history of delivering innovation across multiple industries to help create Scotland’s digital society – from revolutionizing healthcare in NHSScotland and transforming financial services with NS&I and Aegon, to creating a more sustainable future in utilities with Scottish Water.

We’ve invested in Scotland through our renowned UK graduate, intern and apprenticeship programme, developed skills of our 2,300 employees across Dundee, Edinburgh, Forres, Glasgow, Linwood and Livingston, and created our Moray Digital and Innovation Centre alongside a Customer Experience Lab in Edinburgh.

From our decades of experience in Scotland, we can ensure an end-to-end, collaborative partnership, giving Scotland access to the best digital technologies to drive positive economic, social and ethical impacts on business and society.

Customer stories

NHSScotland: Working together for 20 years

NHSScotland and Atos have worked together for over 20 years to deliver a number of critical services providing health management and supporting the delivery of care to the population of Scotland. We work alongside our customers and leading SME partners to drive innovation and modernise core business applications. Over 185,000 healthcare professionals in Scotland rely on systems supported by Atos and over 1.6 million prescriptions are electronically transmitted each week.

University of Edinburgh: Unlocking Secrets of the Universe

The University of Edinburgh selected Atos to provide a BullSequana XH2000, at that time the most energy-efficient supercomputing system on the market and the largest system dedicated to GPU computing deployed at a customer site in the UK. The system constitutes the Extreme Scaling Service of the UK’s DiRAC HPC Facility. The state-of-the-art platform allows scientists across the STFC theory community to drive forward world-leading research in particle physics, among other areas.

Aegon: Establishing an inclusive culture of transformation

A dynamic and collaborative partnership delivering business transformation with assurance and pace to enhance Aegon’s customers’ experience (CX). The relationship has seen a number of firsts: Aegon’s CX Academy – unique in the UK, its pioneering CX Lab, powerful automation now embedded into operations, new employee engagement, plus customer satisfaction scores well above market norms. Atos and Aegon have created a mutual benefit fund to invest in joint development activities, with Atos entrusted with more digital transformation work beyond the original contract – a clear vote of confidence in Atos’ approach.

Scottish Water: Digital Partnership

The close Digital Partnership between Scottish Water and Atos places innovation at the heart of Scotlands water supply and waste water management. The partnership includes a wide-ranging portfolio of services from delivery of customer-focused IT services to its core IT infrastructure and applications.

With a full migration of all windows devices underway, when lockdown hit in March 2020, Scottish Water needed to drastically change plans to transition to a new cloud-based Digital Workplace – remotely, rapidly and at scale. Find out more about the partnership.
