Atos to support Wounded Injured and Sick UK Armed Forces Service Personnel in Recruitment

In collaboration with Walking with the Wounded and Career Transition Partnership, the Atos Armed Forces Network leadership team has been supporting our commitment to the Ministry of Defence’s Armed Forces Covenant in offering career opportunities to Wounded, Injured and Sick (WIS) veterans. Atos believes in the value of the wide range of transferrable skills that ex-armed forces service personnel bring and are conscious of the challenges that can be faced when looking to start a new career.

Our new Atos WIS recruitment programme provides new recruits with experience and support to help secure full-time employment following transition from the military life to entering a business environment.

Recruits will have access to a wide range of business and technical roles in a team environment in one of our locations across the UK. The programme is a paid three-month work placement in which the employee will also benefit from appropriate training courses and an assigned mentor from the Atos Armed Forces Network. At the end of the placement, the employee is given support to pursue a new career in Atos should they wish to.

Gavin Thomson, SVP Private Sector and Big Data Security UK&I said: We employ a growing number of armed forces veterans and reservists and so, we are extremely proud to expand our support projects to include aiding wounded, injured or sick veterans in their transition from service-life to a successful career in business and technology. Congratulations to our Atos WIS team for all their efforts in launching the programme.”
