Supporting mental health awareness in the community

On 25 October the annual Cumbria Mental Health Conference took place in Workington. Atos joined our client Sellafield and other organisations in the area to sponsor the event. This sponsorship provided for exceptional speakers and tickets were free, ensuring that the event was accessible to as many of the local community as possible.

Atos was represented by members of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority Account and HR teams. Mental health issues were brought to life through moving personal stories, drama and interactive workshops. Local support groups highlighted their work, including an inspiring group of teenagers who encourage young people to become youth mental health first aiders.

Charlotte McLaren, Client Executive said: “We need to care about our own mental wellbeing and look out for others. We affect and are affected by the communities in which we work. As a responsible member of the nuclear decommissioning supply chain in west Cumbria, it was important Atos supported this event.”
