Atos sets sail from the Solent for third annual Million Makers Regatta

On Wednesday 19 September, this year’s Million Makers team took on the huge challenge of securing 12 sponsored boats – comprising of nearly 100 clients, suppliers and Atos colleagues – to join them on the choppy seas in Port Hamble, Southampton, braving 50 mph winds. The day, organised by Holly, HR advisor and Lucy, Project Manager, was a great success, raising an impressive total which will be donated to The Prince’s Trust as part of the Million Makers Challenge.

A huge thank you to clients and suppliers who supported the event including representation from ASM Tech, QA, VMWare, Google, IAG, Paragon, NSC Global, BT, Exclusive Networks, Exabeam, Mellanox, Logrhythm and Atos Worldline. Atos were also provided sponsorship from Dell for a boat to host The Prince’s Trust, including two young ambassadors from the charity.

Gavin Thomson, SVP of Scotland, Ireland, Wales and Big Data & Security UK&I – said: “The Regatta was a great success again this year despite the high winds and rain showers. The feedback from our clients and partners was extremely positive and everyone enjoyed the team building sailing experience. Congratulations to the team who worked extremely hard to pull the event together, almost doubling the participation from last year and raising a significant amount for Million Makers. I look forward to supporting the team for next year’s event.”
