Ben Spencer – What should we expect from COP26? | Episode 8 – Digital Society Podcast

Listen & subscribe via your preferred platform

Ben Spencer is the Science Editor at The Sunday Times, leading the newspaper’s coverage of a range of issues related to science and innovation. Most recently he has been focused on the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the run up to the COP26 Summit.

Before joining The Sunday Times, Ben spent eight years at the Daily Mail, where he worked as the paper’s medical correspondent and, before that, science and environment reporter. He started his career on the Sheffield Star.

With the COP26 Climate Summit in Glasgow now only a few months away, this episode of the podcast explores what we can expect from the summit and what meaningful progress on tackling climate change might be possible.

Ben and Kulveer also discuss the UK’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic and how the lessons learnt from the development of the Covid-19 vaccine can be applied to other areas of research and development.
