GIA Committee
At Atos, you can be part of the Graduate, Intern and Apprentice (GIA) Committee. The committee helps to enhance the Atos experience by creating initiatives for everybody to get involved with, making this a great place to work for all graduates, interns and apprentices.
The opportunities range from volunteering within schools and organising STEM events, to organising peer shadowing for the GIA community – a great way to learn more about other areas of the business. There are many opportunities, such as being part of our events team which organises our weekly and monthly socials, as well as our yearly Christmas parties. We also have a social media team who manage our GIA communications, newsletters and social media accounts – a great opportunity for you to bring your creativity to Atos!
Priya, Project Management Apprentice
‘I’m part of the GIA committee and I joined an initiative known as ‘Peer Shadowing’. It’s a scheme aimed at providing opportunities for Graduates, Interns & Apprentices to shadow colleagues in other parts of the company. For example, you may be in Project Management with a developing interest in Business Consulting – the peer shadowing team will pair you up at your request so you can gain some first-hand experience to give you an idea of potential career options as well as and provide opportunities to network and an improved understanding of how different roles contribute to the business.
The Peer Shadowing initiative has received a very positive response from GIA’s across the UK. It’s great to be a part of a committee that contributes positively to the emerging talent community and I would highly recommend getting involved!’
