Charity Support
Our apprentices are involved in many different charity events throughout the year. To name just a few examples; our apprentices have organised cake sales for Macmillan Cancer Support, organised food collections to be redistributed via local charities and community groups, organised raffles across local sites as well as running a virtual FIFA Football Tournament for charity. And not forgetting our annual Christmas Jumper Day, which encourages all employees to support local charities during the festive season.
Matt, Business Administration Apprentice
‘Myself and other Apprentices and Graduates in the Birmingham office had the opportunity to run a coffee morning to help Macmillan Cancer Support, a cause that I highly believe in and one which benefits countless lives. Having the opportunity to raise money for such a great cause was something that I enjoyed taking part in, and together we liaised directly with Macmillan to set up the coffee morning. To prepare for the event we created posters and sent out communications to raise awareness amongst our colleagues. We organised a cake sale, a raffle, and set up various competitions that took place in the office, and as a result a donation of £600 was made to the charity. This was a rewarding experience and I can’t wait until the next coffee morning where we will hopefully raise even more money.’
