Atos colleagues coach homeless on using social media with St Mungo’s

Strengthening its collaboration with St Mungo’s, one of the UK’s largest homeless charities a number of Atos’ colleagues re-visited the charity in August to assist with the second phase of a new initiative to provide teaching and learning in the use of digital applications. This time the focus was social media and a dedicated event took place which allowed St Mungo’s participants to learn 1-to-1 with Atos.

Atos was on hand to help the charity’s participants establish themselves on job-seeking platforms including LinkedIn and Facebook. One individual successfully promoted his own poetry book on both platforms. Atos is looking forward to continuing to develop the programme with St Mungo’s with further sessions planned for the Autumn, including three sessions on Microsoft Excel in October and a further session on social media in November.

David Cooke, Client Executive Post Office said: “We are all concerned about the plight of homeless people on our streets. To be able to help St Mungo’s in their mission – Ending homelessness, Rebuilding Lives – has been a real privilege. The commitment and enthusiasm from the team who supported the St Mungo’s Recovery College was fantastic.”
