Atos announces new NHS Trust Partnership

London, 17th August 2017

Atos, a global leader in digital transformation, today announced that it has extended its Digital Transformation Partner contract with University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) to include Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust for an initial five-year term, further broadening its client base within the health services sector.

Atos will be the primary ICT partner and systems integrator for BEH’s foundation and transformation services, delivering IT outsourcing (ITO) for the transition to new technology which will help transform the performance of the BEH IT environment.

The aim of the partnership focuses on enhancing productivity and business performance whilst creating an engaging and inspiring digital workplace in which BEH employees can connect, communicate and collaborate efficiently. The new contract will release foundation IT savings which can be used to fund BEH’s digital transformation roadmap.

The agreement, which may be extended by a further seven years, includes architecture, end-user technology, service desk, private cloud data centre services, information security and SIAM (Service Integration & Management Services).

David Hill, Director of Digital Services at UCLH, said: “UCLH entered into partnership with Atos to deliver leading edge technology services for the Trust with the intention of enabling North Central London health partners the opportunity to benefit from such a comprehensive and cost effective contract. I am really pleased to see this expectation realised and with it the ability to better collaborate and innovate for the benefit of our patients.”

Atos UK&I Senior Vice president for Health and Public Sector, Philip Chalmers, said: “We are delighted to be working with BEH in delivering its Digital Transformation agenda. We will work in partnership to remodel services so that the Trust can confidently meet the future demands of patients and staff.”

Michael Fox Chairman BEH, said:This is a significant contract for BEH and we look forward to working together in delivering the change required that will support and help our staff improve the service we provide to patients in our community where we provide care”.

Atos has been positioned by Gartner as a Leader for European Managed Workplace Services (MWS) in its Magic Quadrant for Managed Workplace Services report and also recognised as a Leader in Digital Workplace Services worldwide by leading global technology research and advisory firm, Information Services Group (ISG), in its 2017 ISG Provider Lens™ Archetype report.

The partnership centres on a renewed operational model with BEH and Atos working together to create a ‘step change’ in the quality of service provision to users while also delivering savings. A key objective will be to carry this out using innovative technologies that support the BEH strategic objectives and transformation agenda.
