Atos and Oracle to drive significant savings for Local Authorities

London, 9th December 2015

Atos, an international leader in digital services, has been working with Oracle to deliver a market-leading solution for local authorities who face the challenge of reducing expenditure whilst improving and taking on further public services.

Atos has created a local authority-specific solution leveraging Oracle Cloud service which can offer customers front line digital customer services supported by an efficient back office for finance, procurement and human resources.

This offering enables existing and new Oracle users to easily transition to a cloud-based service that is cost-effective, flexible and does not compromise security.

Commenting on the service, Kulveer Ranger, Director of Digital Public Services, Atos, said: “We welcome this strengthening of our Oracle Cloud relationship in the public sector. We believe that our combined strength and experience can deliver savings and support the digital transformation of public services whilst improving customer experience.

“We understand that there is increasing pressure on local authorities as more public services become devolved to them. To meet this growing and changing challenge, they need the digital support and infrastructure that will allow flexibility, efficiency and better user experience which is what this relationship can deliver.”

Joan Fennelly, Oracle UK Sales Director for Public Sector said: “We recognise Atos for their experience in Oracle Cloud. We know the pressures that Local Authorities face and we are confident that this offering is one that they will wish to explore.”

Atos are providing a free service for local authority clients to undertake a review of their technology needs and costs. The review looks at best practice across the public sector and provides a unique insight into the impact of transforming their organisation to more efficient digital, cloud-based, platforms.
