Atos Healthcare announces the organisations who will deliver PIP

Today Atos Healthcare is announcing they are set to deliver assessments for a new disability benefit working in partnership with local NHS services and health professionals.

From April, Atos Healthcare will deliver advice and consultation services for the Personal Independence Payment contract in the North East England, North West England. And from June in London, Southern England and Scotland.

They will be working with NHS Acute and Community services and regional networks of locally-based health professionals.

Nick Barry, General Manager of PIP contract, for Atos Healthcare said:
“This is a new approach to delivering health and disability assessments working with local NHS services to help ensure a quality service is delivered in a way that best meets local needs.

“This means that the face to face consultations will be undertaken by organisations, with experienced staff who are used to dealing with people with disabling conditions, differing needs and challenges.

“Their aim is to provide familiar health professionals, using their own familiar locations who already have roots and knowledge of their local communities.”

The supply chain partners will be:

  • Bedford Hospital NHS Trust
  • Croydon Health Services NHS Trust
  • IPRS Limited
  • King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
  • Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust
  • Medacs Healthcare
  • Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust
  • Physioworld
  • Premex
  • Salus
  • The Injury Care Clinics
  • The Treatment Network
  • University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
  • York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

Atos Healthcare and their supply chain will work within the framework for PIP developed by the Department for Work and Pensions.
