Our IGNITE graduate development Programme will enable you to hit the ground running, accelerate your career and become a qualified cloud expert within 12 months. You will be using cutting-edge technologies, adopting agile principles and pioneering the latest cloud technology at the strategic heart of Atos. Dynamic Learning

Each year we support graduates across the globe to start their digital journey, we’re with you all the way – nurturing your talent, developing your potential and helping you achieve your ambitions.

IGNITE focuses on both your professional and personal development. The Programme is designed in 3 main phases and is a mixture of formats. These include sandboxes, hackathons, labs, cloud playgrounds, virtual training, project work and one-to-one coaching.

We are also inviting our strategic partners, like AWS, Google and Microsoft, to come in and train you on the products we use daily to deliver the right solutions to our clients.

First, we focus on cloud fundamentals and help you find your way in our organisation. We will also invest in your personal development through business and soft skills training, alongside one-to-one coaching to set you up to thrive both professionally and personally.

Moving into the next phase, you will start to specialise, diving deeper into one of three different areas (as detailed below). Once you reach assessment centre stage you will be asked to confirm your preference based on scheme availability. For business skills, you will focus on teamwork and project management. You will start to work closer with our clients, supporting them in developing and deploying cloud-based solutions to transform their businesses. Plus, we’ll enable you to attain recognised certification.

In the third and last phase of IGNITE, you will select one or more specialisations, further differentiating your knowledge and directly contributing to the technical delivery of our solutions. After successfully finishing this phase, you are ready for the next step and will move into the next customer-centric opportunity within the organisation.

Architecture

The Architecture Graduate Development Programme is designed in phases and is a mixture of formats.

First, we focus on cloud fundamentals and enable you to find your way in our organisation.

In the next phase you sink your teeth into Microservices, Data & API driven development, Design Thinking and start working directly with our clients. Plus, we’ll enable you to attain recognised certification.

In the third and last phase, you will select one or more specialisations, such as Private Cloud, Public Cloud and container platforms.

After successfully finishing the architecture Programme, you will transition into one of the following roles:

Lead Software Engineer

  • Responsible for designing, building, testing and maintaining complex modern software applications.
  • Fluency in multiple languages and augmented with a firm grasp of IaC and CICD pipelines.
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience with cloud native methodologies including micro services and twelve factors.
  • Architects competitive application solutions delivered on hybrid public cloud platforms taking into consideration customer business contexts and digital strategies.
  • Provides subject matter expertise in the potential applications of cloud technologies to help customers accelerate their digital transformation.
  • Leverages strong Atos internal networks to ensure a holistic solution delivery covering design, build and operate.
  • Supports account managers and sales teams through all phases of customer engagement including the bid stage.

Business Analyst/ Product Owner

  • An evolution of traditional consulting roles but grounded in data:
  • Interacts with customer stakeholders to understand customer digital business challenges
  • Analyses business processes, visualise data, articulate business requirements and translate these into engineering requirements.
  • Prioritizes and communicate user needs, making recommendations for business process or product feature changes.
  • Enhances Atos operational workflows through process improvements and maximisation of automation opportunities.

Cloud Solution Architect

  • An evolution of your existing role to bring it in line with market expectations:
  • Multiple domains of technical expertise augmented with a firm grasp of IaC and CICD pipelines.
  • Architects competitive infrastructure solution delivered on hybrid public cloud platforms taking into consideration customer business contexts and digital strategies.
  • Provides subject matter expertise in the potential applications of cloud technologies to help customers accelerate their digital transformation.
  • Leads the infrastructure solution implementation for large and complex deals.
  • Leverages strong Atos internal networks to ensure a holistic solution delivery covering design, build and operate.
  • Supports account managers and sales teams through all phases of customer engagement including the bid stage.

Infra as Code (IaC)

The Infra as Code (IaC) Graduate Development Programme is designed in phases and is a mixture of formats.

First, we focus on cloud fundamentals and enable you to find your way in our organisation.

Bring on the next phase, where you sink your teeth into virtualisation, automation tools, networking and start working with our amazing clients. Plus, we’ll enable you to attain recognised certification.

In the third and last phase, you will select one or more specialisations, such as private cloud, public cloud, container platforms or security.

After successfully finishing the IaC track, you will transition into one of the following roles:

Cloud IaC Engineer

This role supersedes existing system and network engineer roles and is expected to automate the development and deployment of infrastructure and application fabrics in hybrid-cloud environments:

  • Masters virtualisation technologies, software defined networking and software defined storage technologies.
  • Demonstrates expert level in declarative automation and configuration management tools.
  • Possesses in depth knowledge of IaaS, PaaS public cloud offerings and building CICD pipelines.

Cyber Security Engineer

The role focuses on designing, deploying and automating holistic security solutions as an integral part of Atos product and services:

  • In depth knowledge of public and private cloud security capabilities covering compute, storage, network, OS, endpoint protection, Privileged Access Management and Identity and access management.
  • Demonstrates expert level in declarative automation, configuration management tools and building security centric CICD pipelines.

Software Development

The Software Development Graduate Development Programme is designed in phases and is a mixture of formats.

First, we focus on cloud fundamentals and enable you to find your way in our organisation.

Bring on the next phase, where you sink your teeth into Microservices, Programming languages and DevOps and start working with our amazing clients. Plus, we’ll enable you to attain recognised certification.

In the third and last phase you will select one or more specialisations, such as AI, Machine Learning, Kubernetes or Mobile App Development.

After successfully finishing the software developer track, you will transition into one of the following roles:

Application Developer

Brings customers new ideas to life creating impactful products, services, and experiences increasingly integrating state of the art technologies such as AR, VR and CV.

  • Works closely with business analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Demonstrates solid grasp of software development lifecycle including DevOps and Site reliability engineering.
  • Demonstrates relevant experience with cloud native methodologies including micro services and twelve factors.
  • Experience of implementing and integrating third-party applications within a complex enterprise application portfolio.
  • Fluency in traditional application and mobile application development frameworks including exposure to UX/UI design.

Business Analyst/ Product Owner

An evolution of traditional consulting roles but grounded in data:

  • Interacts with customer stakeholders to understand customer digital business challenges
  • Analyzes business processes, visualize data, articulate business requirements and translate these into engineering requirements.
  • Prioritizes and communicate user needs, making recommendations for business process or product feature changes.
  • Enhances Atos operational workflows through process improvements and maximisation of automation opportunities.

Data Scientist

In an increasingly data driven business, the role focuses on processing, analysing and interpreting data sets to help customers improve their business and operational strategies.

  • Expertise in designing and building statistical forecasting models and machine learning models.
  • Natural ability and obsessive problem-framing and problem-solving skills.
  • Engages broadly across different customer teams to articulate and structure complex business challenges.
  • Selects the most suitable mathematical models and statistical techniques to address the posed business challenges.
  • Demonstrates expert level knowledge of public cloud and open source big data and machine learning tools.
