Atos shortlisted for Employer of the Year by the 2020 Women in IT Awards

February 10, 2020 – Atos has been shortlisted for the Employer of the Year award for demonstrating a great desire to attract and retain more women and creating a more diverse and inclusive working environment in North America and across the globe.

“We aim to celebrate our diverse and inclusive workforce at Atos, and to do so we actively seek out ways to include those that make our company better. Recognizing our company as Employer of the Year is a testament to our programs that highlight women, initiatives that create space for diversity, and our overall culture and way of working,” said Denise Reed Lamoreaux, Global Chief Diversity Officer at Atos.

Organized by Information Age, the Women in IT awards serve to showcase the achievements and innovation of women in technology and identify new role models in a sector where female representation stands at only 25% in computing jobs.

In addition to Employer of the Year, Atos has been recognized for two additional diversity and inclusion awards. As one of eight finalists, Melanie de Vigan, Atos Global Director for Digital Workplace portfolio and solution enablement, has been shortlisted for Tech Evangelist of the Year. The category champions women who have implemented the use of technology within an organization and successfully managed to communicate its merits to a wider audience and then established it as a technical standard.

“The workplace is changing, and organizations are realizing that digitalization requires empowering its employees and increasing their digital dexterity,” said Melanie. “I’m honored to be recognized as a tech evangelist for the future of work because it’s a testament to aiding the employee and helping organizations become more agile as workforce changes and new demands come to light. My only hope is to continue to impact the employee experience with a truly holistic, end-to-end digital workplace.”

Thirdly, Atos’ Women Who Succeed program has also been shortlisted for the Diversity Initiative of the Year award. The program promotes gender diversity throughout Atos’ organization, ensuring at least one woman is identified as a successor for all key roles. It also ensures specific training and mentorship initiatives are delivered to enable women to succeed to top positions, increasing the percentage of women working in the organization.

In 2019, the Women in IT US awards recognized Atos’ Global Chief Diversity Officer Denise Reed Lamoreaux as the winner for Diversity Initiative of the Year. The award highlights the success of women who lead the establishment of diversity programs in their companies and promote inclusion within their communities.

The 2020 winners of each category will be announced at an awards ceremony at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York on March 25.
