Atos has teamed up with Nokia, a leading communications technology provider, to develop a state-of-the-art, independently certified, symmetric key management solution for secure optical and microwave transport networks
The key management solution combines the Atos cryptographic hardware Trustway Proteccio platform with Nokia cutting-edge technologies for secure transport communications. Nokia 1830 PSS and Wavelite portfolios deliver maximum flexibility, control and adaptability for optical networks. Purpose-built for service provider or private networking applications, these solutions exceed stringent requirements for reliability, latency, and performance of data center interconnect (DCI) as well as operational communications applications.
The solution also enables encrypted microwave transport through the Nokia 9500 MPR. Microwave links are frequently used for mission-critical communications, delivering a high level of flexibility in reaching sites without optical fiber access.
The jointly developed Atos and Nokia solution has been selected and validated by clients in the defense, government, power grid utility and other critical infrastructure sectors. Countries both inside and outside Europe are deploying the solution, including France, Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
From May 2018, all organizations in the EU with more than 250 employees will need to comply with the European Parliament’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The pace of digital change will never be as slow as it is today as the digital economy will continue to accelerate in the coming years, unleashing new digital disruptive innovations.
