Another successful Changing Face of Technology event

On 8 October, the Aspire Network and the Together Network welcomed 70 Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) students and graduates to their virtual careers workshop. The online workshop explored the wide-ranging careers in technology, with the opportunity to build a valuable network with professionals. They heard from SVP Public Sector and Defence Northern Europe Nikki Kelly and HR Business Partner Cath Hope, plus 20 other experts within various business areas at Atos.

Titilayomi, Engineering student at University of Manchester: “This enjoyable event provided more insight on Atos’ pledge to diversity & inclusivity. We had interactive sessions with professionals from each sector of the company who spoke about their working experience in their various fields. This has made it easier for me to decide what career path to choose. We were given tips on how to ace the application process and mentors were assigned to support us in our chosen areas.”

This careers event was aimed at second year university students and onward, particularly from

BAME backgrounds, to understand professional life in the technology industry. Following last year’s event, a number of attendees successfully applied for roles at Atos or other respective tech firms. These initiatives and the support provided by Atos colleagues help fuel a more diverse pool of applicants into Atos and to the wider technology industry.
