BEN Marine electromagnetic speed logs

Electromagnetic speed logs, or EM logs, indicate the speed and the distance traveled through the water.

CLETA electromagnetic speed log

The CLETA EM speed log is the latest generation of BEN Marine speed logs for merchant and cruising ships, OPVs and amphibious landing crafts. It combines the well-known quality and reliability of BEN Marine with the latest technologies. A multifunction color display also includes speed-over-ground data from GPS as well as the heading information and more on request.

The CLETA EM speed log consists of:

One main cabinet
One transducer
One hull-fitting

ANTHEA electromagnetic speed log

The ANTHEA EM speed log is designed for merchant and cruising ships. OPVs and amphibious landing crafts. It is used with maximum 70 m length of cable, between the main cabinet and the sensor.

For standard operations, the ANTHEA log uses a 48 mm sensor. It can be adapted to other BEN Marine sensors that have the same electrical characteristics.

ANTHEA standard version speed log consists of:

One IP65 metal case
One sensor
One hull fitting

ANTHEA is compatible with all navigation peripherals.

BLIND ANTHEA electromagnetic speed log

The BLIND ANTHEA EM speed log is designed for all type of civil ships. It can be installed near to the sensor. There is no distance limitation between the cabinet and its peripherals.

For standard operations, BLIND ANTHEA uses model 48 mm. It can be adapted to other BEN Marine sensors that have the same electrical characteristics.

The BLIND ANTHEA speed log consists of:

One IP65 metal case
One sensor
One hull fitting

BLIND ANTHEA is compatible with all navigation peripherals.

ALIZE electromagnetic speed log

ALIZE is an electromagnetic speed log dedicated to small ships or pleasure boats. Its flat sensor, without mobile or protruding component, offers unequalled accuracy and robustness.

The ALIZE speed log consists of:

One main display unit IP67 (wall or bracket mounting)
One Noryl retractable sensor with 5 m cable
One screw-on type Noryl hull fitting

LMN6 electromagnetic speed log

The LMN6 EM speed log is designed to withstand the severe environment of military naval vessels. It complies with major military and maritime standards.

It is upward compatible with previous LMN versions.

The log measures the speed over the water in the lengthwise and crosswise axis of the vessel using one or two electromagnetic sensors, calculates the partial and total distance travelled, and distributes navigation information – speeds, distances travelled, the status and alarms – on analog and digital interfaces (NMEA protocol on series RS422 bus and Ethernet IP link).

All in one electromagnetic speed log and sensor

SM2000, electromagnetic speed log for underwater vehicles

The SM2000 is a compact electromagnetic speed log specially designed for underwater vehicles like UUV, SDV, ROV. It is resistant to a water pressure of 30 bars.

SM2000 consists of:

One smart sensor
One 3 m cable with connectors
