Atos tritt dem Climate Neutral Data Centre Pact bei

Atos schließt sich dem Climate Neutral Data Centre Pact an – einer Selbstregulierungsinitiative mit dem Ziel, Rechenzentren in Europa bis 2030 klimaneutral zu machen. Entwickelt wurde die Initiative in Zusammenarbeit mit der Europäischen Kommission. Die teilnehmenden Unternehmen repräsentieren die wichtigsten europäischen Unternehmen im Bereich Cloud-Infrastruktur und Rechenzentren.

„Rechenzentren sind ein unverzichtbares Asset für unsere moderne Wirtschaft und müssen als solches im Mittelpunkt unserer Dekarbonisierungs-Bemühungen stehen. Atos betreibt bereits 95 Prozent seiner europäischen Rechenzentren mit CO2-freier Energie und forscht parallel an neuen Technologien wie Wasserstoff. Mit dem Beitritt zum Climate Neutral Data Centre Pact bekräftigen wir unsere Entschlossenheit, unsere Kunden auf ihrem Weg zur Dekarbonisierung zu unterstützen“, sagt Jo Debecker, Head of Infrastructure & Data Management bei Atos.
