Atos erhält HPCwire Awards 2017 für seinen Supercomputer BullSequana

Atos, ein führender Anbieter im Bereich digitale Transformation, wird für seinen Supercomputer BullSequana im Rahmen der jährlichen „Readers’ and Editors’ Choice Awards“ von HPCwire gewürdigt. Für seinen BullSequana X1310 mit ARM-Prozessor erhält Atos den Preis „Editors‘ Choice: Top 5 New Products or Technologies to Watch“. Die Übergabe der Awards fand auf der International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis (SC17) in Denver statt.

Das Projekt Mont-Blanc, ein von Atos koordiniertes europäisches Forschungsprojekt, trägt direkt zum Design des BullSequana X1310 bei und erhält für die Entwicklung einer neuen Generation energieeffizienter Computerarchitektur für HPC, die den ARM-Prozessor nutzt, den Preis „Editors’ Choice – Best HPC Collaboration (Academia/ Government/ Industry)“.

Die renommierten jährlichen HPCwire-Awards werden anhand eines Nominierungs- und Abstimmungsprozesses mit der globalen HPCwire-Community und einer Auswahl von HPCwire-Redakteuren ermittelt. Die Auszeichnungen werden einmal im Jahr vergeben und bestätigen ein hohes Ansehen in der HPC-Community. Die Gewinner werden zum Auftakt der Supercomputing-Konferenz SC17 bekanntgegeben, die sich mit Hochleistungscomputern, Networking, Speichersystemen und Datenanalysen beschäftigt.
