Atos announces new Escala high-end enterprise server based on IBM POWER10 processor
Paris (France), September 14, 2021 – Atos today announces its new Escala M8-1000 server based on IBM’s new POWER10™ processor. The newest addition to the Escala family, the M8-1000 server is the industry’s best-in-class server providing seamless integration into existing infrastructures, delivering exceptional security, reliability, and outstanding performance, for a minimum of complexity and cost. It is Atos’ first server based on the new POWER10 processor.
This enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure, which is essential for business-critical applications, allows secure and efficient scaling of core operational applications such as databases. The Escala M8-1000 provides core-to-cloud protection through full memory encryption at the processor level to support end-to-end security without impacting performance. It runs Artificial Intelligence inferencing directly where the operational data resides for faster insights and streamlined automation. Users benefit from increased performance, workload deployment flexibility and agility. Availability and reliability are maximized with built-in advanced recovery and self-healing for infrastructure redundancy and disaster recovery.
