Positive vibes from PyeongChang 2018 filled the day in Stockholm

5 June, 2018

By Ksenia Forsheneva,

It is hard to imagine a better start of the week than an amazing celebration of the medalists of the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang 2018 at Stockholm City Hall. Atos, as a proud partner to the Swedish Olympic Committee, had the chance to be part of this inspiring afternoon.

The environment and the beauty of the Gyllene Salen combined with the stories from PyeongChang 2018 shared by the medalists in curling and biathlon is a memory to keep.

“It is a great joy to see the teams perform at the top in PyeongChang 2018 and now to meet them to hear their experiences from the Winter Olympics. I have a special passion for sports and especially winter sports as I was a professional athlete in figure skating myself. Winter Olympics are close to my heart and it is always the time when all my family is very engaged in following and supporting the Swedish team,” says Jennie Broström Lundmark, Country Manager Atos Sweden & Norway.

The gold medalists in curling shared how they lead their way to success with passion, enthusiasm and a lot of hard training. We got to hear from the biathlon teams on how is it to set goals for the world championships and Olympics and time them to perform at the top at the right competition. There is a big support system behind all the teams and they really appreciate even the small things that can be crucial for success.

“A lot of great initiatives are driven by the Swedish Olympic Committee including the Top och Talang program where the partners get a chance to support the Olympians in their journey to success. And as a partner it feels great to be able to contribute to the Olympic movement in Sweden and the present and rising athlete stars,” says Jennie Broström Lundmark.

The day continued with a mingle and the celebration of all the medalists in Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in PyeongChang 2018 at Blå Hallen with 400 guests including the sport elite, politicians and partners of the Swedish Olympic Committee.

A big part of the discussions was of course about the ambition to bring Winter Olympics to Stockholm in 2026 and the audience in the room was very enthusiastic. A lot of present and future ambassadors for Stockholm 2026 were already identified and we know that there are a few ambassadors for Stockholm 2026 at Atos as well. We are sure we will hear much more news on this in the coming months.
