Atos enhances AMOS Platform to accelerate enterprise modernization from legacy to Open Source platforms

RedHat EMEA Partner Summit, Prague, June 25, 2019

Atos, a global leader in digital transformation, today announced that the Atos Managed OpenShift Service (AMOS) platform has been upgraded with new integrated automation capabilities from the market-leading SyntBots® intelligent automation platform.

AMOS is the result of a collaboration by Atos and Red Hat to create a cloud platform solution designed to enable global enterprises to execute large-scale migrations from legacy to open source platforms.

Built on Red Hat OpenShift, AMOS unites DevOps and IT operations by providing a single managed container platform to view and manage all applications. AMOS helps businesses more rapidly adopt a standard DevOps environment that allows them to design, build, and roll-out more secure, scalable, cloud-native applications.

This new offering integrates SyntBots automation tools capable of reducing application analysis time by 90% and cutting code remediation efforts by 50%. The result is a significant improvement in quality and consistency, helping clients move away from legacy and implement a new open source architecture in half the time.

According to Ashok Balasubramanian, CTO of Atos Business & Platform Solutions, AMOS is the cornerstone that helps organizations modernize their application landscape and develop truly cloud-native applications.

“Atos Managed OpenShift can help enterprises evolve their legacy infrastructure and create new digital services that meet customer demands, now and in the future.” said Balasubramanian. “Now that AMOS has been enhanced with integrated automation tools from SyntBots, it becomes an even more powerful way for today’s enterprises to evolve to meet the needs of the digital economy.”

SyntBots employs a powerful suite of accelerators and utilities to automate repetitive manual processes, free up critical staff for higher value work, and deliver the integrated processes, improved quality and increased agility necessary to change the business.

In addition to helping eliminate the constraints of legacy platforms, Red Hat OpenShift has delivered benefits to clients that include 66% faster development lifecycles, increased developer productivity, and application portability across various cloud platforms.

Franz Meyer, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Global Accounts at Red Hat said:

“The SyntBots platform’s methodology and analysis capabilities can help enable customers to accelerate the transformation of legacy applications to a container platform based on Red Hat OpenShift. Additionally, it can help development teams reduce software release lifecyles for new cloud-native applications to enable a reduction in overall time to market for new digital services.”
