“Atos signs deal to provide services for SAP HANA® to leading Nordic food-packaging group Elopak”

Atos, a leading digital services company, announced today that it has secured a four-year contract to provide application operations services for the SAP HANA® platform to Elopak, one of the world’s leading companies within liquid food packaging. The provided services will help Elopak deliver efficiency improvements and realize other business benefits.

To secure this deal, Elopak found in Atos a partner for application operations to meet its requirements on processing power, flexibility and high availability, as well as application management capability, knowledge and services. Atos will provide Elopak the services that it needs to establish a robust and flexible SAP® software landscape with Basis operations and AIX on-demand services. Atos will offer consumption-based services and solutions to support the initial configuration and environment on an ongoing basis to scale as required. Atos will build on top of already established services, service management and solutions.
Elopak is executing a business improvement project in which a new ERP system is essential to realizing the project goals. Elopak chose SAP software as the ERP system based on the SAP HANA® platform, providing Elopak with state-of-the-art supply chain technology. SAP HANA offers improved visibility and flexibility of data across the organization, in a faster, more consistent approach and at a lower cost of ownership.
Flemming J. Jensen, CEO at Atos in Denmark & Sweden said: “This is an exciting deal for Atos as we are building on an already established partnership with Elopak. We are looking forward to continue working with the Elopak team in supporting their business objectives and meeting their goals of cost efficiency and low-risk processes.”
Erik Blaafjell, CIO of Elopak, said: “We are delighted to continue our successful partnership with Atos that consistently delivers value for Elopak. This is an exciting and challenging time for Elopak, and the team at Atos has shown us that they have an industrial approach and extensive experience in operating SAP ERP and SAP HANA.”
