Atos Origin, an international IT services company, today announces 2007 fourth quarter revenue at EUR 1 548 million representing a +8.6% year-on-year growth and an organic growth of +5.3% at same scope and exchange rates. For the total year 2007, revenue was EUR 5 855 million representing a +8.5% top line growth and a +4.3% organic growth at same scope and exchange rates.

During the last quarter of 2007, Consulting revenue achieved EUR 92 million representing an organic decrease of -6.3% compared to -9.6% for the first nine months of 2007. The improvement came mainly from France where the organic decrease was -6.1% compared to -20.6% at the end of September 2007 thanks to a better level of orders, and a utilization rate from 64% in Q3 to 69% in Q4 2007.

Systems Integration reached EUR 622 million in the last quarter of 2007, which represented a revenue organic growth of +7.3% compared to +4.6% at the end of September 2007. Double-digit organic growth was reached in Germany & Central Europe, other EMEA, and a +5.6% organic growth was achieved in France compared to +0.7% for the first nine months of 2007.

In Managed Operations, revenue in the last quarter of 2007 was EUR 833 million up +13.8% year-on-year and representing an organic growth of +5.4%. Double-digit organic growth was obtained in the United Kingdom, France and in Asia Pacific.

 

Full-year 2007 revenue:

The guidance provided by the Company on February, 5th, 2007 was a +8.5% top line growth. The total 2007 actual revenue was EUR 5 855 million representing a +8.5% top line growth which was achieved despite the termination of the NHS Diagnostics contract expected for EUR 50 million in the guidance, and adverse effects of EUR 19 million coming from currency exchanges in the fourth quarter mainly on the British pound.

The total 2007 revenue organic growth reached +4.3% above the guidance of +4%.

In Consulting, as expected, revenue organic decrease for the total year was -8.7% with revenue of EUR 360 million with the strong actions launched in Q3 2007 starting to show first results in France. Better performance is expected in the United Kingdom for the first half of 2008.

In Systems Integration, full-year 2007 revenue amounted to EUR 2 338 million increasing by +5.3% organically. All geographies achieved a better performance compared to last year except for the United Kingdom as expected with revenue decreasing by -1.8% due to the restructuring actions made. Double-digit organic growth was achieved in Germany & Central Europe, Asia Pacific and Americas. In The Netherlands, the organic growth was +4.7% and in France, after a decrease during the first half of 2007, the total year organic growth reached +2%.

In Managed Operations, full-year revenue reached EUR 3 157 million up +14.9% year-on-year and +5.4% organic growth. The organic growth was led by Asia Pacific and Americas with double-digit performance, and the United Kingdom achieved a +7% organic growth compared to -8.8% in 2006.

 

Portfolio: acceleration of commercial momentum

In 2007, the Group won large international contracts which for most of them include a strong offshore portion.

During the fourth quarter of 2007, the order entries reached EUR 2.4 billion with a book to bill ratio at 155%. The Group won large contracts such as EDF and in the telco sector in France, signed a series of contracts in the United Kingdom such as Highways Agency, DWP, BNP Paribas and Liverpool Victoria, Achmea and Delta in The Netherlands, Thomas Cook and Alcatel in Germany, Iberia and Government contracts in Spain, Lee county Florida in the US and HPCL in India. The Company signed a five-year global strategic agreement with ChemChina in China.

The book to bill ratio was 106% for the total year 2007 compared to 88% for the first nine months of 2007, illustrating the strong commercial momentum of the Group and its competitiveness on large deals.
At the end of 2007, the full backlog was EUR 8.5 billion up by +7% compared to end of 2006 and representing 1.5 time 2007 revenue

The flow of deals signed during the last quarter of 2007 comforts the assumption of the revenue organic growth taken in the transformation plan for 2008.
