Ubiqisense and Atos partner to jointly offer a Smart Building service
Ubiqisense and Atos partner to jointly offer an IoT-based Smart Building service
Partnership aims to offer new IoT-based service for Smart Building monitor and control
Ubiqisense and Atos SE have entered a partnership to offer the customers a joint service called “Smart Building as a Service”, focused on optimization of facilities usage.
Atos will leverage the solutions produced by Ubiqisense, based on Internet of Things for offering a service applicable to any office building enabled for enhancing utilization. Functionality includes space usage optimization, energy saving and more efficient cleaning delivery, as well as compliance with confidential information management procedures. The two solutions that will address these challenges are:
- The UBIcapture sensor, a vision-based sensor capable to detect objects and people, included in a complete IoT edge computing architecture.
- The Ubiqisense solution, an Artificial Intelligence based solution which collects the right information from the sensor and offers the right information at the right time for achieving the whole smart building functionality.
The service adheres fully GDPR (Global Data Protection Regulations) as the images captured by the sensors are never stored or transmitted, and the metadata sent by sensors do not include any sensitive information.
“We count on Ubiqisense technologies for strengthening the broad Atos portfolio of AI & IoT services. The service our clients can access now will be a perfect fit for COVID-19, office and other work facilities from all industries, which have the need to optimize costs, ensure right utilization of physical facilities and comply with the company’s confidentiality regulations. Atos customers from all continents will be able to access this service Atos provides based on our wide experience in AI & IoT solutions” said Niels Thomsen, Group Vice President, Global Head of the Insight (IoT & AI) practice and Head of Global Business Development for Managed IoT at Atos.
“We are delighted to partner with Atos as it gives us a unique opportunity to leverage Atos’ tremendous expertise and experience in IoT, infrastructure, and cloud solutions. The partnership will also offer a great growth opportunity for our state-of-the-art smart-sensor solution”, said Palle Geltzer Dinesen, CEO and co-founder of UbiqiSense.
“Ubiqisense is a great example of an innovative Danish proptech startup which fits Atos’s AI and IoT portfolio, and we are happy that a leading company like Atos sees the potential in partnering with Ubiqisense”, says Jess Møller Knudsen, Director Innovation Centre Denmark, Munich.
