Atos welcomes 150 guests to its HQ for ‘IDSA Winterdays’ to discuss data sharing and data sovereignty in Europe

December 3, 2019

Atos, global leader in digital transformation, today hosts over 150 guests at the second edition of the “IDSA Winterdays”, held at its headquarters in Bezons, from December 3-5 this year. The aim of the event, which is co-organized with the ANRT (Association Nationale Recherche Technologie) and the French IDSA Hub Institut MinesTélécom, is to give insights into projects which adopt the International Data Spaces (IDS) concepts at national and European level. It includes presentations on cross-industry and cross-country use cases and concrete applications as well as interactive sessions.

The IDSA (International Data Spaces Association) brings together more than 100-member organizations, coming from about 20 countries. Its aim is to create a reference architecture and a formal standard for creating and operating virtual data spaces. The IDSA believes that with this IDS Architecture put in place, coupled with the promotion of European values, a secure and trusted data space can be ensured, namely as part of the Gaia-X project.

Companies presenting include Deutsche Telekom, who will show its first ‘IDS-ready’ certified product – its Data Intelligence Hub – as well as use cases from companies such as Ericsson and Stardog, Thyssenkrupp and VW.

This year, the theme of the event is: “Trust in data sharing ecosystems”. Ursula Morgenstern, CEO of Atos in Germany, and Member of the IDSA Board, will give a speech at the General Assembly and Hubert Tardieu, Leader of Atos Scientific Community and Advisor to Atos CEO, will be part of a panel discussion on ‘Data Sovereignty for Industry’.
