Atos ranked N°1 by the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI World and Europe) in the digital sector for its corporate responsibility and sustainability performance

Paris, 17 September 2018

Atos, a global leader in digital transformation, today announces that it has been ranked n°1 as the most sustainable company in its industry group in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) World and Europe, following the publication of the 2018 DJSI results.

Atos has been ranked as the leader in the IT Software & Services industry (Gold level), a sector which includes 117 companies worldwide. With a total score of 78 points out of 100, Atos is once again in the global leading position in the study based on an annual evaluation of over 3,900 listed companies, a ranking resulting from its top performance in the social, environmental and economic categories.

Thierry Breton, Chairman & CEO of Atos, commented: Our performance in the Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability area has been recognized once again this year by the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) placing us as the 2018 digital & IT services sector leader in both the DJSI World & DJSI Europe Indices. This recognition reflects our continued and long-term commitment to offer more innovative digital solutions to our clients in their digital transformation while addressing the environmental and social challenges of the 21st century, thus contributing to a more sustainable and digitally responsible society.”

The data compiled in the study was collected by sustainability investment specialist RobecoSAM[i] on behalf of DJSI.

Atos was additionally again recognized this year by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)[ii] standards Comprehensive option for its Corporate Responsibility Integrated Reports and by the CDP[iii], which positioned Atos in Climate A for climate care.

An online version of the Atos Corporate Responsibility Integrated Report is available here.
