Auxylium, first tactical LTE communication solution to receive official ‘Defense Restricted’ certification by French Army
Paris, December 13, 2018
Auxylium, the tactical LTE communication solution developed by Atos for the French Armed Forces, has received the official ‘Defense Restricted’ certification – the first for a 4G LTE tactical device used in operational missions – which acknowledges the level of security of Auxylium as being officially capable of transmitting sensitive information.
Used daily by soldiers engaged in the Sentinel anti-terrorist operation, Auxylium provides an encrypted and reliable communication solution which enables information to be shared smoothly and operational control to run effectively.
Based on an Android smartphone and a remote “Helium” 4G radio module patented and co-developed by the French Defense Procurement Agency, the solution, which combines the advantages of a civil technology with the level required for military equipment, uses both public and private networks transparently.
Its resilience and very high-speed capabilities whilst on the move, combined with a high level of security confirmed by the ‘Defense Restricted’ certification, make it possible to position Auxylium as a leading solution for internal security, civil security and for the protection of OIV (Operators of Vital Importance).
Last June, Atos launched its ‘Atos LTE’ offer of critical, tactical, secure and resilient 4G communications including smartphones, applications and communication equipment. This end-to-end modular offer includes Auxylium, and also the ultra-secure Hoox for mission smartphone, Resource Tracking and Multi Network Dispatching & Recording solutions.
