Atos launches HORUS security appliances
Appliances will make the deployment of trust infrastructures easier
Monaco, Les Assises de la Sécurité, October 10, 2018
Atos announces the Horus range of trust infrastructures appliances, a complete range of pre-configured software appliances to support the deployment of trust services based on digital identities. There are 5 in total: Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), electronic signatures, timestamping, user explicit consent for qualified signature and blockchain services.
The Horus trust infrastuctures appliances provide the following benefits:
- Faster time to deployment: ready-to-use design means that product functionalities and database instances are already pre-configured, reducing the project timeline from several months to just a few weeks, and avoiding the burden of acquiring and configuring additional materials such as servers
- Guaranteed maximum security: relying on the state-of-the-art Trustway Proteccio Hardware Security Module, which is Common Criteria EAL4+ certified, the Horus appliances comply with strict security demands and can perform sensitive cryptographic operations. Non-repudiable signature creation is guaranteed as the appliances are fully compliant with eIDAS European regulation (standards for electronic identification and transaction). Organizations will have maximum security when deploying a central qualified signature solution. Atos is one of the few companies able to deliver such a compliant signature appliance.
- Seamless operations as these appliances are complementary with Atos’ new VPN range for network encryption,Trustway IP Protect. It enables security and automation of key processes – particularly through the management of the lifecycle of security keys, thereby enabling encryptors to work seamlessly. It can also scale the operations of thousands of devices.
“The development of trust services around digital identities for people and devices requires easy-to-deploy and easy-to-use security solutions. Horus pre-configured appliances provide such a solution so that organizations are guaranteed maximum security” says David Leporini, Atos IoT Security Director.
Meet Atos experts at the Assises de la Sécurité tradeshow in Monaco from October 10 - 13 on booth #130.
