Atos receives honors in 2017 HPCwire Awards for its BullSequana ARM-based supercomputer

Atos has been recognized for its BullSequana supercomputer in the annual HPCwire Readers’ and Editors’ Choice Awards, presented at the 2017 International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis (SC17), in Denver, US. Atos was awarded with the ‘Editors’ Choice: Top 5 New Products or Technologies to Watch’ for its BullSequana X1310 with ARM processors.

Project Mont-Blanc, a European funded R&D project coordinated by Atos, and which directly contributed to the design of the BullSequana X1310, was also recognized with the ‘Editors’ Choice – Best HPC Collaboration (Academia/Government/Industry)’ for Mont-Blanc, European R&D projects investigating a new type of energy-efficient computer architecture for HPC, leveraging ARM processor.

The coveted annual HPCwire Readers’ and Editors’ Choice Awards are determined through a nomination and voting process with the global HPCwire community, as well as selections from the HPCwire editors. The awards are an annual feature of the publication and constitute prestigious recognition from the HPC community. These awards are revealed each year to kick off the annual supercomputing conference, which showcases high performance computing, networking, storage, and data analysis.
