“Awards for Risk Management : Atos wins the “best risk monitoring” Award”
As part of the Awards for Risk Management, Atos has received the prize for the “best risk monitoring” awarded by Crowe Horwath Global Risk Consulting, the IFACI (French Institute of Audit and Control) and law firm Dechert.
Assessment Based on 6 Qualitative and Quantitative Criteria
The Awards for Risk Management (Trophées de la Maîtrise des Risques) allow us to understand the reality of the measures taken in large organizations to manage risk, and to reward the best performers. The jury for this 4th edition of the Awards gave the prize for “best risk monitoring” to Atos.
Elie Girard, Atos CFO, is proud of this distinction: “This award has a particular significance given that project risk management is a strategic issue to which the Board of Directors and all managers in the Atos Group are committed. It rewards the close collaboration between our financial, legal, purchasing, technical, risk management and HR teams and our sales forces and operational managers that allows us to take the right decisions at the right time.
We are working on long-term projects (bids, acquisitions) involving substantial amounts and multi-disciplinary and international teams, in which governance and risk management have proven to be crucial to successfully bringing them to completion and delivering continuously improving services to our customers.
The results achieved by project risk management at Atos have led the Board to encourage managers to extend their operational excellence and to consider the tools and processes implemented as true competitive advantages that promote quality.”
At the basis of its risk management system, the Atos Group has a set of procedures and tools known as AtosTM Rainbow, which facilitates the analysis and processing of risks linked to the project life cycle. AtosTM Rainbow allows Operations and Support Functions to design the most relevant checks, help spread best practices, draw lessons from their experience, and share them among the various teams. It also reinforces our sales dynamism, facilitates deployment of our innovative offers, and accelerates integration of our acquisitions.
AtosTM Rainbow covers the entire life cycle of the project from its identification as an opportunity through the contracting process to its final realization. This overall process is deployed uniformly in all the Group’s activities and geographical regions. It is based on strict governance, which determines the levels of involvement and the expectations of all our key players: operational managers, technical managers, resource management, quality, security, financial control, purchasing, and the legal department.
