“Atos recognized as Red Hat Middleware Partner of the Year 2015 “

Atos, an international leader in digital services, was recognized as “Middleware Partner of the Year 2015” by Red Hat at its EMEA Partner Awards. It is a recognition of joint client successes and strong business growth in the middleware space, positioning Atos as a leader in the open source integration space.

Atos and Red Hat have collaborated for over 10 years and have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to identify additional areas where the two companies can collaborate, especially in middleware. Both parties plan to use the Red Hat technology stack –namely the Red Hat JBoss Middleware product portfolio, including Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform, Red Hat JBoss Fuse, Red Hat JBoss BRMS, and Red Hat JBoss BPM Suite – and Atos’ industry expertise to develop joint industry specific propositions, aiming to achieve improved customer satisfaction, faster implementation of innovations, and re-usability while helping customers to lower build and operations costs. Atos and Red Hat’s joint solutions focus on application modernization, service integration, business automation, mobility and big data.

Now in its seventh year, the Red Hat EMEA Partner Awards recognize the achievements Red Hat’s partners have made over the past year, and their ongoing commitment to further develop open source technology. Successes in the area of Red Hat-based Atos solutions include a large client base in the public sector, in manufacturing, transportation, healthcare, and other industries.

Examples of the joint activities in the development of industry specific solutions include the Atos eSuite, a solution supporting digital transformation in local government, and Canopy Digital Connect, a more secure, pay-per-transaction, UK cloud hosted, PSN, and Internet-connected messaging and data integration hub for the UK government available from the GCloud on the GOV.UK Digital Marketplace.

These and other Atos solutions and services based on Red Hat are mentioned in a recent IDC publication* which analyzes the latest trends in government Digital Transformation (DX) and advises government executives on key issues to consider when starting or progressing along the digital transformation journey.

“Together with Red Hat, Atos has created solutions to support clients in the digital transformation of their businesses. Based on those successes in the open source middleware market, we are excited to address this opportunity with Atos as an award-winning partner for Red Hat,” said Steve Sutton, SVP C&SI Solutions at Atos.

"Red Hat, the open source leader, welcomes this MOU to expand our collaboration with Atos, a global leader for technology and cloud services. Together, Red Hat and Atos aim to further accelerate development and adoption of innovative open source solutions to solve the demanding challenges our customers face across industry sectors. Red Hat looks forward to building on the existing successes, sharing best practices and increasing awareness to support our customers.” Werner Knoblich, senior vice president and general manager, EMEA, Red Hat.
