For example, take buying behaviour or the information available to consumers any time, anywhere. Everything is accessible quickly, if not immediately. Shopping, while at the same time comparing prices, reading product reviews, being able to obtain something immediately regardless of where it is. Consumers today are as happy to shop online as physically. Indeed, in 2013, for Bancontact/Mister Cash, Worldline recorded growth of no less than 84.5% in e-commerce.

"In our hyper-connected world, where mobile telephony and the internet have radically changed people’s lives, offering a smartphone payment solution that is simple, safe and easy to use was an obvious move for Worldline. I’m particularly proud of the outcome, given that it’s the result of a great partnership with Bancontact/Mister Cash, Belgians’ favourite payment method. I’m convinced that this new solution, based on the latest technology, will contribute to making Belgium a cashless society", explains Willy Walraeve, CEO of Worldline in the Benelux.

Continuing with the deployment of electronic payment solutions, across all channels

This new payment application is the perfect addition to the offering from Worldline, whose core business aim is to make electronic payments accessible anywhere and across all channels. Moreover, it integrates seamlessly with Worldline’s range of e-commerce and m-commerce solutions.

Users of this new app will be able to:

  • Make online payments (either using a QR code or via the app itself)
