“Atos Cited as a Leader in the recent European Applications Outsourcing Services report by Leading Independent Research Firm”
Paris, April 1st, 2014
Atos, an international IT services company, today announced that Forrester Research, Inc. has recognized Atos as a leader in European Application Outsourcing Services, according to the February 2014 report*, The Forrester Wave™: EMEA Applications Outsourcing Services, Q1 2014.
Based on an analysis of 12 leading Application Outsourcing Services Providers, Atos received the highest score possible for its vision in emerging technologies and are also among the leaders noted for strength of significant current capabilities and strategies for the future. According to Forrester, Atos has much to recommend itself to EMEA customers including strong SAP skills and very strong geographic distribution of staff and clients. The report also emphasized that Atos is strong in transition capabilities and service management.
Forrester evaluated suppliers across 43 criteria, which were organized into three high-level buckets:
- Current offering - Strength and positioning of global delivery model, capabilities in ERP packages, support for custom development and maintenance requirements, transition capabilities, and key emerging capabilities.
- Strategy - Overall strategy around its client value proposition and view toward the future of applications outsourcing, vision for managed outcome relationships, strategy for continuous improvement, and vision for improved delivery through the leverage of intellectual property.
- Market presence – Size of the overall company, size of the supplier's applications outsourcing business, total number of customers, global reach of services in terms of customers, overall financial performance, and the supplier's typical engagement profile.
Atos' Application Outsourcing strategy combines standardized, globalized and industrialized foundation services that deliver dramatic cost reduction and quality improvement with transformational business-enabling services – tuned for each market sector – to help clients realize greater IT agility and real business value. Atos' pragmatic ‘skin-in-the-game' approach seeks to measure success by business metrics, not just out-dated IT SLAs, and incentivizes performance through outcome-based commercial models.
Francis Meston: “We are pleased with the positioning of Atos as a leader in the Forrester report as we believe it demonstrates our continued focus on anticipating changing customer needs in application outsourcing. Application outsourcing is not only a means to introduce agility into the legacy environment, but can go beyond “run the business” to “change the Business”. We focus on adapting our offering so we can contribute to an enhanced customer experience.”
