“CeBIT 2014: Atos puts the focus on secure Cloud Computing”

As part of the Bitkom World, the international IT-service provider Atos presents its latest solutions for the top of the IT-industry at CeBIT 2014: Cloud Computing, IT-security, and Big Data. Interested visitors can find the IT-service provider for the fourth consecutive year at the Bitkom-shared booth in Hall 4, Booth C57 that takes place from 10 to 14 March.

Secure Cloud Computing with Canopy

Atos combines its Cloud-offers under the umbrella of Canopy, an Atos company powered by EMC and VMware and covers the entire spectrum on Cloud-solutions for companies -from Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) right up to consulting. Canopy has started to offer its product portfolio to the German market by using the German and European Data-center infrastructure of Atos, to offer secure Cloud solutions to large and medium-sized customers. The services can be provided directly at the customer location or in the data-center of the service provider in this case. Depending on their business requirements, customers can opt for a Private, Virtual Private or a Hybrid Cloud-solution.

IT-Security – Competent consultation made in Germany

The Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) has certified Atos as an IT-Security service provider for the departments of IS-Revision and IS-consultation. For several years, Atos experts rely on the recommendations and Standards developed by BSI, particularly on the IT-baseline security catalogue developed for companies and government agencies.

In addition, Atos offers leading Identity & Access Management and Smart Card products with DirX and CardOS, excellent IT security made in Germany. More than 1,000 customers worldwide rely on Atos products. The focus lies on IT security and compliance with national and international laws and regulations. Atos DirX allows for transparent allocation of rights and simple Single Sign-On – both within a corporation as well as in the cloud. Atos CardOS Smart cards are certified by the BSI as products for secure authentication, encryption and signature which can also be used in conjunction with mobile devices.

Data Analytics as a Service

The topic Big Data is finally becoming ever more important to catch attention of the IT-sector. Atos leverages its position as a full-line provider: From platform-provision over data-analysis right up to strategic-consulting the company covers the entire value-added chain. The main focus is on development of a Data Analytics as a service packet, which will facilitate customers in future to use analysis-instruments without having to provide the required infrastructure on their own.
