“Toyota Boshoku Europe selects Atos Consulting to implement its European Finance Shared Service Center with Oracle OBA”

Assisting Toyota Boshoku in its European expansion strategy Toyota Boshoku Europe, global automotive manufacturer, has chosen Atos Consulting, the global consulting practice of Atos Origin, to design and implement its European Finance Shared Service Center with Oracle Business Accelerators. The first goal for Toyota Boshoku Europe, currently expanding its operations in Europe, is to set up rapidly its new entities. Another major stake is to integrate the Finance system with other new systems under construction (Manufacturing, Logistics, HR). With this project, Toyota Boshoku Europe builds its corporate core Finance solution, harmonizing financial reporting and reducing period closing lead-times.

“We have chosen Atos Consulting for its ability to lead international projects, and for its demonstrated expertise and capacity for innovation with Oracle solutions. With the leverage of Oracle Business Accelerators, Atos Consulting has been able to reduce implementation time from 18 to 9 months, and deliver a complete solution for 3 countries. Our teams work closely together in a process/organization alignment approach to design an optimal solution and reduce costs. Based on Oracle’s e Business Suite package, the solution is immediately tailored to Toyota Boshoku Europe’s requirements during alignment workshops. In this way we have designed an efficient and personalized solution, while keeping developments limited to the strict minimum. Less than a hundred days of development are needed for interfaces, to be compared to the hundreds or thousands of days often encountered on such projects” explains Atsushi Toyoshima, Chairman & CEO of Toyota Boshoku Europe N.V.

“Atos Origin has a proven experience and expertise in Manufacturing industries; with this new assignment, we are facing an exciting task”, says Thierry Gadou, Head of Atos Consulting in France. “An IT consulting firm can only be a partner and contribute to the business strategy if it really understands the market and the needs of its customer. Atos Origin brings all the required skills for a successful project, especially expertise to adjust processes, organization and Oracle e Business Suite features to build a fully reproducible solution tailored to Toyota Boshoku Europe’s requirements”.
