She has led the rugby team’s involvement in York Pride and helps to coordinate regular social media campaigns about their inclusive culture.
Rachel Edwards, UK&I Lead for Diversity and Inclusion: “Julia has worked tirelessly to support Atos to reach #40 in the Stonewall Workplace Equality index and her commitment and passion for inclusion has supported Atos to make leaps forward in LGBT+ inclusivity in the last few years. I am proud to see her in the OUTstanding list; it’s well deserved, and celebrates the immense amount of work she’s put into our Diversity & Inclusion efforts.”
Founder & CEO of INvolve, Suki Sandhu OBE, says: “I’m thrilled to be celebrating another amazing group of LGBT+ and Ally Role Models from across the globe who are championing inclusion and inspiring the next generation of talent. LGBT+ discrimination is still prevalent across the world and Role Models are essential to change perceptions and show everyone that you can be successful in business while also being your authentic self at work.”
Julia Atwater, Head of Customer Experience, Communications & Engagement – Business Transformation Services and co-chair of AtosPride: “I am delighted to be included in this list of LGBT+ role models in business. LGBT+ inclusion in the workplace is a journey I have been proudly part of at Atos for the last few years. With LGBT+ rights being challenged around the world, it is even more important to be visibly out at work.”
