Atos Belgium and Luxembourg locations included in certification designating effective environmental management systems in place

We are proud to announce that EY Certify Point, Atos external certification body, confirmed all of Atos Belgium certifications during a 4 days surveillance audit in May 2021.

The ISO 14001 is the international standard that specifies requirements for an effective environmental management system (EMS), which provides an operational tool for measuring environmental goals, including carbon reduction, energy consumption, travel impacts, and waste and recycling management. Furthermore, it demonstrates environmental commitment to stakeholders – clients, employees, shareholders – while better managing environmental impact and risk.

Atos builds its sustainability practices on a sound management system, guiding ambition in daily practices. Already founded on an ISO9001 (quality), ISO20000 (Service Delivery) and ISO27001 (security) certified management system, Atos has certified its locations in Belgium and Luxembourg for ISO14001 (environment).

“We lead the way in environmental responsibility, by receiving the ISO14001 certification for our facilities. It shows our consistent commitment towards a sustainable planet, in line with Atos’ statement of purpose.” said Punit Sehgal CEO Atos Belgium and Luxembourg. “I would like to take the opportunity to thank all the colleagues who have made this certification possible.”

Atos has received Global ISO 14001 Environment Management System (EMS) certification from EY. The certification covers locations around the world, including the Unites States, South America, Asia and countries through out Europe.

For the past 10 years, the EMS has focused on supporting the necessary transition to a low-carbon economy by reducing the Company’s carbon emissions and minimizing the environmental impact of its activities and its customers’ businesses.
