Atos selected by National Bank of Belgium for core application transformation to the cloud

Brussels, Belgium – 23 May 2022

Atos today announced service commencement of a new business-critical cloud-based Central Balance Sheet Office (CBSO) application for the National Bank of Belgium as part of a ten-year contract to transform the Bank’s key legacy application.

The migration to a state-of-the-art cloud native solution running on a highly secure cloud platform delivers significantly increased processing speed while integrating automated data quality management for the approximately 500,000 annual deposits made by companies across Belgium to the Bank.

The solution developed by Atos uses XBRL – the open-source global framework for exchanging business information – and enables a highly agile core business application that delivers optimum cost of ownership.

In transferring the service to Atos, the National Bank of Belgium expects to facilitate business continuity of one of its key activities, with the annual accounts transformation ultimately enhancing customer experience for the 50,000 Belgian declarers that use the service, combined with 80,000 consultations per day by the general public.
