Atos Switzerland completes local closing of cybersecurity specialist SEC Consult

Bern, June 30th, 2021 – Atos in Switzerland today announces it has acquired a major stake of SEC Consult (Switzerland) AG, thus becoming the main shareholder. Atos Group had previously announced the acquisition of the leading cybersecurity and application security consultant in October last year. The deal in Switzerland will complete Atos’ acquisition of the entire SEC Consult group. This latest move strengthens Atos’ existing consulting capabilities in the Swiss Confederation and confirms its role as the leading cybersecurity provider in Europe. In total, over 200 highly skilled specialists from SEC Consult join the Atos teams.

The acquisition of SEC Consults follows the acquisitions of Paladion, digital.security and In Fidem. With the external growth strategy, Atos is putting its vision of continuous development and innovation in cybersecurity consulting into practice.

Swiss clients of Atos will benefit from an expanded portfolio of cybersecurity solutions, particularly in penetration testing, red teaming and incident response. Existing SEC Consult customers can continue to rely on the innovative services, in the future complemented by Atos’ leading expertise in managed security services.

“In line with our program ‘Accelerate Customers’, we are continuously developing our cybersecurity offering to equip our customers for the ever-growing threat landscape,” said Bruno Schenk, CEO of Atos Switzerland. “Especially in Switzerland, cybersecurity is a growth market where we are now even more strongly positioned with the expertise and reputation of SEC Consult. Customers will now receive an even broader range of consulting and solutions from a single source.”

“We are looking forward to working closely with Atos in Switzerland as well and further combining our expertise in cybersecurity,” said Stefan Merz, CEO of SEC Consult (Switzerland) AG. “Synergies will open up for both companies, from which both our customers and our team will benefit. Last but not least, the increased reach will allow us to raise our profile in Switzerland and strengthen our position as a leading provider of cybersecurity services in Europe.”
