At Atos, we are committed to LGBTI inclusion

Creating an environment where people can bring their authentic selves to the workplace.

We are a Stonewall Global Diversity Champion and committed to promoting and supporting diversity in the workplace.

In 2018, we signed the UN Standards of Conduct For Business, aligning ourselves with the focus on inclusivity for all, and in 2019, we signed L’Autre Cercle’s charter, pledging support to our LGBTI employees, and to working with them to ensure that their voices are heard when setting or revising policies and hiring and promoting our employees worldwide.

“When employees feel valued, safe, and respected, they naturally perform better.  Our AtosPride Global Network seeks to ensure that our LGBTI employees can perform at peak in a workplace that honors and respects them.”

Denise Reed Lamoreaux
Global Chief Diversity Officer

Our AtosPride and allies employee network is open to everyone, regardless of whether they identify as LGBTI or not. The network continues to grow and we have:

  • Encouraged visible LGBT role models.
  • Worked with clients and suppliers to share best practice and progress on LGBTI inclusion.
  • Launched an HR guide, LGBT+ International Working
  • Delivered Unconscious Bias training.
  • Run programs such as the UK&I’s reverse mentoring relationships between senior leaders and LGBTI employees
  • Provided support to Trans employees, their line managers & HR through a Gender Transition policy
  • Hosted webinars that allow us to educate our employees and provide resources and information on any LGBTI related topic.

Julia Atwater

Julia Atwater joined Atos eight years ago and is currently the Head of Communications at the Business & Platform Solutions (B&PS) business unit in the UK. She is passionate about diversity & inclusion and is the co-founder of AtosPride, Atos’ global LGBT+ and Allies network. In 2008 she was shortlisted in the British LGBT Awards as a Top 10 LGBT and Corporate Rising Star.

Tamsin McCarthy

Tamsin has been working for Atos since 2007 in various roles including procurement, supply chain management and change management.

She first joined the AtosPride network back in 2016 and was soon asked to take on the role of Procurement subject matter expert before joining the AtosPride Steering committee as an Ally representative. In January 2019 she took over as co-chair of the network along with Sam Elllis.

Tamsin is hoping AtosPride can reach the milestone of 2000 members in 2019. She is also working hard with the rest of the AtosPride Steering committee to move up the rankings of the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index and break into the top 100.

Sam Ellis

Sam joined Atos back in 2007 in various operational leadership roles in IDM, before becoming Head of Customer Experience.  He later became Head of International Mobility and Employee Engagement where he developed the Atos Diversity & Inclusion networks post-inception, pioneered the annual Diversity & Inclusion Expo and since April 2019 took over as Co-Chair of the Atos Pride Network, alongside Tamsin McCarthy.  He is now an HR Business Partner.
