Pride Network host Stride for Pride

Between 25-31 January, the Pride Network is hosting Atos’ 3rd annual Stride for Pride event.

The event is aimed at encouraging employees to focus on their own physical and mental wellbeing by challenging themselves to reach a personalised fitness goal. Employees can take part through various disciplines including walking, cycling, dancing or joining exercise classes. The Pride Network is also hosting various virtual ‘Walk & Talk’ sessions throughout the week with guest speakers including the network’s Exec Sponsor, David Haley, in order to achieve a total distance of 5 kilometres.

Pride Network Co-Chair and event creator Tamsin McCarthy said: “Stride For Pride for is a charity initiative with twist. You sponsor yourself to take on a personal challenge. The aim is to improve your own wellbeing whilst raising awareness and support for LGBT+ mental health. It is open to all employees as well as friends and family. It is a great way to kick start the New Year and to ensure we continue the conversation about mental wellness.”

The funds raised will go to MindOut, an LGBTQ+ mental health charity that has worked to support and raise awareness for mental wellbeing in the LGBTQ+ community for over 20 years.

Find out more about how to support and get involved by visiting the Stride for Pride JustGiving page.
