Atos gender network raise awareness for menopause
From 19-30 October, the Aspire Network hosted Menopause Awareness Fortnight to coincide with World Menopause Awareness Day on 18 October. This included a series of webinars for employees and managers to learn more about the support available for menopausal colleagues and how to support them to be their best in work.
Atos predicts that approximately 30% of its UK female workforce are at menopausal age , which means that they could be experiencing symptoms that may have an impact on their day-to-day wellbeing. Atos is committed to supporting our colleagues affected by these changes.
Helen Messer, Commercial Director at Atos said: “We enjoyed a productive Menopause Awareness Fortnight and thanks to all of our participants for their positive input and collaboration! Over a quarter of Atos female employees in the UK are at menopausal age and consequently we continue to ensure that they, and their line managers know how to get the right support for those experiencing disruptive menopausal symptoms when they need it.”
Last year for World Menopause Day, Atos released a Policy & Guidance on menopause to help provide an understanding of what menopause is and raise awareness for the support and adjustments that can be provided to manage the symptoms in the work environment. Atos aims to create a workplace where employees feel comfortable seeking support if they wish to do so, and managers feel confident discussing the topic.
