Atos Wins Diversity and Inclusion Initiative of the Year

Atos UK and Ireland has been awarded Diversity and Inclusion Initiative of the Year at Women in Tech Awards 2020.

Atos won the award for its menopause campaign, launched in 2019, to create a framework which supports employees and raises awareness about menopause. The initiative has seen the introduction of a new policy, an ambassador network and the hosting of webinars, helping to educate the wider organisation and foster an inclusive environment in which colleagues can converse openly.

With a 43% female workforce, and women of menopausal age the largest growing demographic for UK and Ireland employees, Atos is committed to supporting its talented women through its continued awareness of employee needs, new initiatives and overall Diversity & Inclusion strategy.

Rachel Edwards, HRBP Equality, Diversity & Inclusion UK & Ireland said: “I’m so pleased that we have been recognised for this fantastic campaign. A significant number of our employees are of menopausal age, and if they don’t experience it themselves, they may be managing someone who does or have a friend or family member going through it. It’s really important that we all understand how to support people experiencing menopause and this award demonstrates that Atos is taking this seriously, and that our commitment is recognised externally.”

Alongside the initiative award, Atos is proud that the winners for 2020 feature employee Nina Anthony, who took home Returner of the Year following a remarkable submission: adopting her daughter and returning to work in a demanding and exciting role.

The award follows Atos recognition as a Times Top 50 Employer for Woman in the UK and Ireland, and the Atos Summer Camp being awarded at Global Women in Telco & Tech Awards 2020.
