Atos partners with Recruiting Moms❤️Women

The current shortage of skilled workers and the low proportion of women is a crucial stake for the IT industry. Atos is committed to tackling this challenge and create suitable job offers.

Zurich, August 17th, 2022 – Atos Switzerland AG has entered into a partnership with the Swiss company Hypatia GmbH and its brands Recruiting Moms & Women. With this step, Atos wants to promote gender diversity both in its own company and within the IT industry. As the name of the initiative already suggests, mothers and women should be brought together with companies that enable them to enter or return to work. Currently, 15 percent of the Atos Switzerland AG workforce is made up of women. At the same time, there is still a shortage of skilled workers in Switzerland. Atos is seizing the opportunity to open up more to new workers in an often-ignored market. To this end, the company is increasingly creating jobs with suitable working models in the individual departments. For example, with job sharing, a position can be divided between two employees in order to better combine work and family. Part-time and full-time offers with flexible working from home have been created – from IT to management to consulting.

Bruno Schenk, CEO of Atos Switzerland AG, says: “We are aware of the low proportion of women in our company and in the industry in general. With the partnership with Recruiting Moms & Women, we want to give mothers and women with flexible working hours a chance to gain a foothold in the world of work again and at the same time compensate for our shortage of skilled workers. It is important to us that family and career are optimally compatible.”

Sandra Kuhn-Schulthess, Co-Founder & Client Lead of Recruiting Moms Recruiting Women, explains: “Our core concern is to create equal opportunities. Women are still underrepresented, particularly in technical professions. We have made it our task to bring companies together with women and mothers and, above all, to make it easier for mothers to enter the job market. This requires companies like Atos as partners who are open to new ways of thinking.”

By the end of the year, the Hypatia GmbH and Working Moms & Women plans to provide a platform where partner companies such as Atos and women looking for a job can register. The women’s CVs are anonymous, so they are judged purely on their qualifications. The companies, on the other hand, should be openly visible. With modern working models and attractive job offers, Atos believes that it will be able to hire more women with the help of this new partnership.
