Data ze satelitů Copernicus umožní vznik nových služeb

Evropská vesmírná agentura (ESA) si vybrala společnost Atos, jako dodavatele a provozovatele služeb Copernicus Data and Information Access Services (DIAS). DIAS bude propojovat real-time geografická data z programu Copernicus, který je největším programem monitorování země, s daty z dalších zdrojů a vytvářet z nich informační produkty.

Tyto nové informační poduktybudou moci využít například firmy z oblasti průmyslové výroby, pojišťovnictví, zemědělství, utilit, lesnictví, urbanizmus nebo také záchranné složky či vědecké a veřejné instituce.

Mezi předpokládaná využítí patří:

  • lepší porozumění dopadům klimatických změn,
  • lepší správa a předikce rozvoje měst,
  • řízení rizik petrolejářskýcj firem,
  • lepší řízení pěstování plodin.

Atos bude jménem Evropské komise a Evropské vesmírné agentury řídit nově vytvořené konsorcium, mezi jehož členy dále patří DLR, e-Geos, GAF, Sinergies, Spacemetric, Thales Alenia Space a T-Systems. Atos bude zodpovědný za integraci, dodání a provozování cloudové platformy, která bude integrovat specializované zdroje dat. Díky nové platformě budou data z družic Evropské unie Sentinel, stejně jako od dalších poskytovatelů dat, ještě přístupnější. To umožní třetím stranám, ať už podnikům nebo institucím, vytvářet inovativní řešení založená na satelitních datech. Atos tak spolu s partnery vybuduje a zkomercionalizuje nové služby.

Technologie a zkušenosti Atosu a jeho partnerů přinesou platformě rychlost, flexibilitu a robustnost, to umožní práci s velkým množstvím dat v různých formátech. Portfolio datových služeb Atosu, Codex, poskytne DIASu analytické a kognitivní funkce, díky kterým vytvoří ze surových satelitních dat, hodnotné poznatky využitelné v řadě odvětví.

Platforma bude zákazníkům k dispozici v červnu 2018.
