Empowering First Responders
Created to serve the highly specialized requirements associated with Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1), Atos Public Safety has developed the most scalable carrier-grade Next Generation Core Services (NGCS) powered Emergency Services IP Network (ESInet) system available in the industry today.
Atos Public Safety’s mission is to serve the nation’s First Responder community as their NG9-1-1 transformation partner, designing custom communication ecosystems leveraging existing investments and assets using Atos’ proven IT modernization methodologies. Atos is the company known and trusted around the world for complex IT program management, bringing the Public Safety industry an end-to-end managed, secured NG9-1-1 network infrastructure.
In the US, Atos Public Safety is working within the 9-1-1 sector arena to modernize, migrate and optimize the way our industry communicates. Using our expertise with carrier grade voice and data delivery systems, Atos brings to the US market proven qualifications, technical leadership and demonstrated expertise in NG9-1-1. Atos is the only company who has deployed carrier-grade, multimedia empowered, private IP network domains with policy and skills-based routing schemes serving domains with over 500,000 calls per day.
The Atos Emergency Services IP Network (ESInet) managed service ecosystem provides First Responders with vastly increased situational awareness through the delivery of critical, real-time information from multiple data sources. ESInet ensures that First Responder resources are mobilized in the fastest, most effective way possible.

The Atos NG 9-1-1 Emergency Services IP network adheres to data security policies from a myriad of sources such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), National Emergency Number Association’s (NENA’s) Security for NG9-1-1, and local IT and Public Safety agency specific standards. And, we’ve hardened our security through certification with the Department of Defense’s Joint Interoperability Test Command.
Network reliability is critical to risk mitigation, and the ability to address and accommodate future network requirements. Atos provides the platinum standard for a reliable infrastructure: carrier-grade reliability (99.9999% uptime) with Active-Active redundant configuration so that no call is dropped, EVER.
We’ve designed an NG9-1-1 Next Generation Core Services (NGCS) powered solution that delivers an IP network designed with all of the network resiliency/reliability principles: full redundancy of interconnections, sites, and access. Its resilience ensures that the highest levels of service are maintained regardless of changes in the operating environment.
Next Generation 9-1-1
Each year 240 million 911 calls are made in United States using analog voice delivery. This public safety technology, however, has yet to meet the demands of the communities it is meant to serve. It’s time to overcome infrastructure and system limitations. Atos’s vision for NG9-1-1 is a unified ecosystem that is accessible, reliable, secure, and resilient.
