Key capabilities
Accessibility
Facilitate the delivery of multi-media and data communications to a wide range of devices, enabling a broad array of services driven by the capture, delivery, and utilization of mission-critical information. A high-speed broadband IP network increases the effectiveness of First Responders and provides accessibility and increased safety to all those they serve to protect.
Security
The Atos NG 9-1-1 Emergency Services IP network adheres to data security policies from a myriad of sources such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), National Emergency Number Association’s (NENA’s) Security for NG9-1-1, and local IT and Public Safety agency specific standards. And, we’ve hardened our security through certification with the Department of Defense’s Joint Interoperability Test Command.
Reliability
Network reliability is critical to risk mitigation, and the ability to address and accommodate future network requirements. Atos provides the platinum standard for a reliable infrastructure: carrier-grade reliability (99.9999% uptime) with Active-Active redundant configuration so that no call is dropped, EVER.
Resiliency
We’ve designed an NG9-1-1 Next Generation Core Services (NGCS) powered solution that delivers an IP network designed with all of the network resiliency/reliability principles: full redundancy of interconnections, sites, and access. Its resilience ensures that the highest levels of service are maintained regardless of changes in the operating environment.
Next Generation 9-1-1
Each year 240 million 911 calls are made in United States using analog voice delivery. This public safety technology, however, has yet to meet the demands of the communities it is meant to serve. It’s time to overcome infrastructure and system limitations. Atos’s vision for NG9-1-1 is a unified ecosystem that is accessible, reliable, secure, and resilient.
