United Kingdom – December 19, 2025
Atos, a leading provider of AI-powered digital transformation, has launched its inaugural Community Impact Report in the UK&I, reflecting the company’s commitment to making a meaningful difference through business. The Community Impact Report covers the activities, outputs and outcomes that have benefited communities throughout 2025 and supports Atos UK&I’s vision to be the industry’s leading responsible business.
Atos’ UK&I business model puts society as a core operational pillar, alongside employees, clients and profitable growth. Over the past year, Atos has focused on initiatives that matter most to the communities it operates within, and those where the company can make the most difference leveraging its core expertise and business.
The company’s 2025 priorities were to improve digital inclusion, increase employee volunteering, boost biodiversity and help bridge the digital divide. To support these goals, the company undertook community initiatives including:
- Digital inclusion programmes, through which Atos UK&I has donated personal and corporate laptops to improve digital poverty.
- STEM outreach and IT industry work experience for girls, to help inspire the next generation and promote diversity within technology careers.
- Employee volunteering, from guiding young people into employment to mentoring individuals leaving prison.
- Building sustainable solutions into the Atos business model and championing ethical practices.
The valuable work that has gone into these community initiatives has resulted in £4.6m social impact generated, 528 devices donated, 5746 young people engaged in STEM, 2045 employee volunteering hours – an increase of 27% vs 2024 – and 5260 trees planted.
Michael Herron, Head of Atos UK&I, said, “We are committed to making a meaningful difference through business. Community impact is something that many strive for, but few manage to deliver, which is why I’m so proud of the tangible work we have done for our communities throughout this year. Our aim is to lead by example, set the standard for responsible business in our industry, and ensure that every action we take reflects our values.
“This is just the beginning for Atos’ community impact ambitions. We have already set ourselves goals for 2026 that build upon what we’ve achieved so far, and plan to cement our targets in a three-year Impact Strategy Report that we’ll be publishing next year, alongside announcing our Responsible Business Strategy and a dedicated team to drive accountability and impact.”
Building on the baseline established in 2025, Atos UK&I has set the following goals for community impact in 2026:
- Increase employee volunteering by 10%
- Engage 1,000 students in STEM
- Formally train 150 citizens in digital skills
- Expand biodiversity initiatives
- Donate 500 devices
To reach these goals, Atos UK&I will be guided by its upcoming three-year Impact Strategy Report, which will establish the priority issues that need to be addressed to ensure the company’s investments generate maximum impact for communities. This Report will be accompanied by a Responsible Business Board to ensure responsible business is at the forefront of all business decisions, supported by a Responsible Business Strategy.
