Atos announces the winner of Digital Innovation of the Year at the Third Sector Awards 2021

On Friday, 17 September, Atos attended the Third Sector Awards at the Londoner Hotel as a key sponsor to present the Digital Innovation of the Year award – an award aimed at a charity or social enterprise pushing the boundaries of digital technology to reach supporters, donors, or beneficiaries. We were delighted to announce Cherie Blair Foundation for Women as the winner for the development of HerVenture for Women Entrepreneurs, a business skills app for women entrepreneurs. Through HerVenture, the foundation has brought vital business skills and support to over 41,000 women across Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Vietnam, and Indonesia, and has just this month also launched in Guyana.

Stanley Alozie, SVP and Head of Telecommunications, Media & Technology (TMT) Industry for Atos, UK & Ireland said, ” As a supporter and digital partner to the Third Sector , we were delighted to present Cherie Blair Foundation as the Digital Innovation of the Year award winner. Furthermore, it was great being part of an event that recognises the critical work charities, individuals, and sector organisations’ achievements, particularly during the pandemic when it’s never felt more crucial and important”.

“After over a decade of putting mobile tech at the heart of empowering women entrepreneurs in low and middle-income countries, I’m delighted the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women’s work has been recognised by this award,” Helen McEachern, CEO, Cherie Blair Foundation for Women.

Attended by over 400 people across the Third Sector, the event provides an opportunity for voluntary organisations of all sizes, and the people who work for them, to celebrate their work and the real difference they make to society.
