Atos provides architecture services to drive DVSA transformation

London, 27 May 2020 – Atos, a global leader in digital transformation, has extended its contract with the UK’s Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) to deliver Architecture as a Service (AaaS) in support of the agency’s multi-year digital transformation programme for modernising its technology, services and processes.

The agreement, which sees the contract run for a further year, means Atos UK and Ireland continues to maintain an enterprise architecture capability to deliver a range of technology infrastructure solutions and services for the DVSA, enabling the agency to enhance its frontline services through the delivery of strategic digital solutions.

The provision of AaaS by Atos strengthens the DVSA’s control over its digital ecosystem, including financial control of large digital products, as well as supporting the agency’s relationship with the Department for Transport and central government.

In addition to delivering a cohesive architecture strategy, governance and assurance service, Atos provides impartial guidance and direction to the DVSA, supporting the strategic objectives of its digital transformation programme.

Mark Giles, Head of Application & Infrastructure at DVSA, said: “The Architecture as a service contract with Atos is an integral part of our digital transformation strategy, as we move to become a digitally-enabled organisation.

“Creating and maintaining a range of architecture services for our business will continue the transformation of our frontline services, with innovative, modernised technology and processes that deliver efficiencies and enhance the end-user experience.”

Commenting on the agreement, Clay Van Doren, Atos CEO, UK & Ireland, said: “This contract signals a deepening of our relationship with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, and we are delighted to be playing a crucial role in developing the agency’s digital transformation programme. The partnership further cements our status as a leading architecture services provider and digital transformation partner to public services providers.”

In view of Atos’ ongoing partnership as trusted digital partner to a broad range of public organisations, Digital Vision for Digital Britain sets out how technology can deliver total digital transformation across both the public and private sectors and details how policy makers can navigate and respond to the evolving digital landscape and new era of opportunity in the UK.
