Rainer is the Head of Atos’s Dynamic PLM Services and CTO for PLM in Germany, where he is responsible for the strategic and technical evolution of cloud-oriented PLM platforms and services. In this role, he leads international teams delivering PLM operations, support, and transformation programs for manufacturing clients across Europe.

With more than three decades of experience in Product Lifecycle Management, Rainer focuses on transforming complex, highly customized PLM landscapes into sustainable, regulation-ready engineering platforms. His expertise spans Siemens Teamcenter, PLM architecture, and the integration of regulatory and sustainability requirements directly into engineering processes.

In his CTO role, he drives innovation in sustainable engineering platforms, cloud-based PLM services, and advanced engineering workflows. Rainer regularly contributes thought leadership pieces on PLM as a Smart Platform for compliant, resilient, and future-proof product development.
